Refugee missions nerf?

After exhausting my pre-3.0 reserves of MEF, EFC and Biotechs, I went to Nauni - to rescue some refugees and earn some materials.

It turned out I can't do that anymore. The best reward now is various G1 and G2 scrap that you can get basically anywhere. And yes, I've maximised my local reputation.

Well, they can use these explosions to propel themselves towards the rescue ship, and I don't care how they plan to brake. I don't work for SLFs.
 
Missions at rescue ships for pods etc. Exactly same. If you want the good stuff it's offering Thargoids missions. Not much good to a T9 with limpets:(
 
A lot of missions got nerfed in Beyond.

Long range data missions - nerfed.
Solo cargo missions - nerfed.
Refugee missions - nerfed.

It's just FDev making the grind longer and longer.
 
I visited approximately 20 stations yesterday, including rescue ships and planetary bases, and after mode swapping like a coked up grasshopper only managed to see 3 missions with biotech conductors as a reward, and these were for Wings. I'd love to try out the new engineering process, but so far no luck.
 
I'm just gonna max out on all the low level junk, then swap ships and start having another look at the higher level stuff.
 
Do you think that limiting Biotech to wing missions was a plan, or just random chaos/fallout from the patch? I have no interest or time to wing up in order to engineer my ship.
