Gotta hold off myself. Have too many earlier on in the day and I feel like crap later. To each their own though.

As for the OP, that's kind of between you and Support or the like. Presumably we already know what the game is for ourselves. Don't see much point in forum drama about it.

Hmm.... Now now though... All discussion aside...

Looking at the System we've witnessed being built up, I have to admit : It would be almost perfect for a Pay-to-Win Smartphone Game :D

Think about it :
- horrid ways to collect stuff Players are invited (or forced) to do if they want to be competitive
- horrid RNG everywhere you look
- "play the Game the way we want" Concepts in many places
- rip-off Material Trader ratios

Seriously - it would be perfect for a avoid-the-grind->pay-up! scheme.
If it wasn't for DB's word (no Pay-to-win in ELITE), I'd seriously expect the future "premium content" of Beyond to be loot boxes from the Store (in-game purchase) or something very similar.

Awkward though as we don't have P2W, meaning the implemented grind-schemes don't quite make sense. There's no profit in it for FDev and only frustration for those that don't embrace it (?)

PS.
Looking at the Engineering side of things, it's rather... peculiar? that this was supposed to be a "Quality of Life" change.
(for fleet owners, it sure was a Quality of Life change - just not a positive one ;) )

If I'm in the neighborhood sometime. Currently in the Midwest US though, and with "daylight savings time" being reenacted upon upon us recently, it's currently just past 1 PM here. Bit early for me yet, but I can make out well enough, I suppose.
