Regarding Confirmed

While I am sure it is exciting to someone, somewhere, on planet Second Fiddle in the Nameless quadrant, to have an uncredited in the annals of history confirmed notification flash up with no indication that is all (oh I'm sure the credits probably do, but I'm annoyed) giving them momentary belief they are actually notable, by the fourth time it has become infuriating. It was old at two.

How about notifying the original explorer that their finding was authenticated and giving them a fat bonus. I am happy for you to use my 'nice lab technician' - 'also ran' award to do it and just quietly update codex without the constant disappointments.

Trying to solve your post it a little confusing.

But I believe the rule in Exploration is this. We can have 2 players that hit the same location at the same time or even weeks apart. They don't get the first discovery bonus. Until one of those players turn in the data and whoever turn the data last Loses out.

Yeah, and I respect that; it's just the notification in its present form is not clear. Putting Confirmed in the text would probably help, and I was coming back to update with the thought flagging clearly Confirmed would stop a lot of frustrated people suffering a bit of a day from moaning about it frantically checking the codex every other stop.

Hi :D[up]

That bit will iron out a lot if discoveries reduce In frequency.

Just be nice to be warned it's a case of looking at the map to correlate data, not umm...where did I leave that shield generator?..

?
