REGOR SECTOR - Blocked off for future expansion

I have found a big area blocked off in the game - not discounting the small permit required systems.

Do a search for Gamma Velorum

You will find that it is in the Regor sector and on zooming out you will see that every star in the Regor SECTOR (Requires Unknown Permit).

I do not have the distance around it plotted yet but it is a very big area as it takes a whole sector.

I am going under the assumption that this is a blocked of area for future expansion, so I am plotting a route out there at the moment so that when that area, becomes available we will have a fast route pre- plotted.

Nice find ... indeed it seems like this will be an area of future expansion, we should find some earth-like planets nearby to potentially allow for nearby bases.

Thargoids are at peace with humans, judging from everything we've been told - they're not going to be the main threat, but equally it makes sense that they'd have their own region of space. Given that DB's said there are far worse things out there than Thargoids, I suspect that region will be opened up when the Thargoids encounter these "worse things" and ask for help. Maybe.

Empire is at peace with Federation is at peace with Alliance - doesn't stop some of their representatives using lasers as the main method of interaction.

I just passed Regor. Just for information, the sector is still inaccessible at this time.

That's it I'm calling it.

Thargoids are actually from the magellanic clusters, we were just sent a scout force in the past. Regor is in direct line of sight from human space with the LMC and SMC areas and that is the area of space that sounds creepy when you point at it.... so I'm calling for Thargoid space or worse staging area.

Seems to short from human space.
Hyponi and prei3 sectors are more likely (as it would require people to actually fly some time to get there)
Also this thread is OLD

Here are some more Huge sectors locked off with permits : Hyponia : Really huge sector, : Bovomit : region blocked off , : Sidgoir : Region blocked off , : Dryman : Region Huge blocked off area.
There most likely many more out there

They may seem too close, but that could just be a jumping-in point for whatever species it is (I remain unconvinced that Thargs are going to make an appearance any time soon - I suspect it's going to be Drew's "much worse things" first).
