led me to think that it would be interesting to see who would sign up to a Regulators alliance.

"Regulators, we regulate any ganking behaviour, but you cant be any geek off the street gotta be handy with the lasers if you know what I mean.....REGULATORS LAUNCH! PEW PEW !!"

Ooh, for the record I LOVE this idea.

This is the definition of the spirit of the multiplayer aspects of the game, and is what people like me were talking about when stating that the system was self-policing.

I can't guarantee I'll be a good combateer, but I'll happily be an informant for two cases of Leestian evil juice for each report.

I'll even go undercover.

(Ironically by forming an anti-gank squad you have, to me, become a gank squad in your own right .. I am a pirate, I am going to kill you, and in doing so the temptation to cry foul will be hard to resist and when your posse come's a flying in they are going to gank me, with the "it's all legal guv'na .. you 'as a bounty on your head" .. pfft)

It is a nice idea though - the community coming together to form an anti-gank squad as that has been the cause of many an angst thread here. However being a pirate I have to spit on them, even though I will come help on my trader account :D

I was thinking about setting up a secret resistance network (has your handler contacted you and the other 3 in your death squad yet? :cool:) but I think it could be handled just as well overtly if the umpf comes to shove, the resistance can be revived at short notice if griefing does become an issue.

Piracy is not griefing :D

I did not vote because I do not have the mentality to be a regulator. However, if Frontier wants regulators in exchange of a few free shares, I might think about ... :p

Surely once someone thinks that someone else is ganking , they just need to post the name on a potential gankers list and if the same name appears frequently then we just need to put them on our blacklist so that we never see them again and they end up playing in solitude.
Of course they might be playing as a bounty hunter or some other reason for killing player pilots in which case their name can come off the gankers list.

True - been into graphic novels ever since 2000 AD back in the late 70s Early 80s. Unfortunately most of mine were chucked by my mother when I went to college...
