Reinstalling Elite Dangerous + Odissey.

Never done it before.

I would like to do it because performance in Odissey is unbearable. Some people with my specs are in the same boat, some have decent performance. We're talking about a 2080, I7 and 32 gigs on ram, game installed on ssd.

I already know how to save and restore bindings.

Is there something else i should be aware of ?

Better clear your gfx settings first and see if that helps.

• Exit game
• Rename the Folder Graphics in c:\user\%username%\appdata\local\frontier developments\Elite dangerous\options

Disable the nvidia after gfx processing too

do not delete youre save,otherwise i deleted and re-installed no prblem

if your reinstalling then everything under AppData\Local\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous and saved games\fronter Developmetns\Elite Dangerous\ will remain unchanged, like GroG79 suggested try rename the graphics folder, also from within \Elite Dangerous\Products\elite-dangerous-odyssey-64 rename GpuWorkTable.xml. these should be recreated on launch

if you still have issues reinstall however untill Fdev optimise the game youll most likely find it has no impact on performance

if you chose to reinstall you might want to save the contents of C:\Users\[you]\Saved Games\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous
