Reintroduction of Geological scanning bug

This bug was a total pain, but when scanning bodies that had geological locations the camera started to get jittery, if you continued to scan bodies and did not wait the 10 seconds for the count to appear on a body. This jitter got exaggerated the more bodies that had locations. The fix was when you zoomed out the scanning process stopped and so did the camera jitter. This has been re-introduced with the release of Carriers.
i also noticed the message "!" staying on as of the last patch.

It wasn't a bug, it was intended behaviour that was removed after much wailing on the forum, I prefer it this way myself, for whatever reason they re-introduced it some players will be happy, some will be unhappy, so basically a reverse of the two groups.

So you are happy with the camera jitter as you scan bodies? This gets chronic when scanning the bodies around a Gas Giant where multiple bodies have geological locations. It gets so bad that it takes several attempts to centre on a target. A couple of days ago i just logged and did something else.

It doesn't jitter for me, I can scan many bodies in a short period and have no problems, it's usually an issue with lower performance hardware.

I found that when I upgraded my old graphics card (GTX 760) and CPU (i5), such "jittering" stopped - so yes, may well be a hardware issue for you.

But yet i didn't have any issues when FDev released the initial fix? You don't make any sense. What's more i will have no hope when Odyssey gets released. i've washed my hands of reporting bugs on the issue tracker and i'm doing the same here.

Because it wasn't a fix, the original behaviour during the beta was for geological sites to resolve in the background in the FSS while you went on and scanned the rest of the system. It was ideal because it meant you didn't have to sit there waiting for the sites to resolve, you could scan the rest of the moons of a GG while the first were resolving then quickly check to see how many sites each moon had. This wasn't an issue with players with newer and better hardware, sites rarely take more than 5-7 seconds to resolve for me anyway, but for players with older hardware it could take 30-40 seconds or more for a the sites on a single body to resolve, so they could stack up quite a few and it caused a lot of slowdown due to the load on the vid card, so this wasn't a bug, it was expected behaviour. Reporting it as a bug isn't going to do anything because it isn't a bug, as has already been explained to you, not a bug, don't report it as a bug, if you have a complaint make it, but don't report it as a big, it isn't.

Now to finish the story, the players with less capable hardware causes such a ruckus on the forums that FDEV changed the behaviour of geo site resolution from the FSS background to the system map background, so now instead of having the sites resolve while using the FSS and having the results available immediately, players who wanted that information would have to sit for a couple of minutes at the system map twiddling their thumbs while the volcanic sites resolved in the background, very irritating indeed and it added anything from a few seconds to five minutes waiting for explorers depending on the number of volcanic bodies, it was unsatisfactory to myself and many other explorers and obviously it also wasn't a good fix for FDEV since they have reverted back, I would suggest most likely due to issues with FC jumps and making them as short as possible for players since it was changed after they fixed a few issues with FC's.

So to sum up, it isn't a bug, so reporting it as a bug is just going to get the response "working as intended", the fact it is the result of a complaint from you is irrelevent, I also complained when they changed the background resolution from the FSS to the system map, we are all entitled to complain, but we aren't all entitled to get things our own way, I settled in my mind and carried on regardless, your turn.
