Damnit, my girlfriend is due to give birth on the 1st of december..... hope i can squeeze in some time :D

This is the best time, the little one will hopefully spend most of their time asleep, although you might find yourself playing at strange times.

It's good it's getting some nice coverage on the TV. Think it says a lot about the franchise it's history and the developers coming from arguably an "underdog" position when compared to big budget rin of the mill games and our cousins over at RSI.

(sadface) - this means that basically we are playing an almost finished game version in beta 3.

There's _NO_WAY_ for the game to change decently in 36 days. At most they will be able to fix _some_ things...

A bit dissapointing tbh.
Their own internal version is ahead of what we're playing. By how much, we don't know, and we'll see it on the 22nd.

But I have to admit, the fact they've proven to be trustworthy, and how confident they are of having reached their goal and delivering a good game, collides with what we can see in beta 3. It's lacking a whole lot of stuff, it's hard to believe it'll happen, but they seem so sure.

Heheh. 5 weeks to feature-complete, balance and polish?

/me is skeptical. But I guess a deadline is better than no deadline?

Wow. Trust the BBC to spend most of an article about the launch of ED talking about other games that won't have released by then.

Sadly, I have to agree :\ I should be happy and rejoyce, but the game just doesn't feel ready in any shape or form for the market yet :/ I hope that we're proven wrong tho...

I agree. IMHO the release date is ridiculous. They really need to have something quite special up their sleeve compared to beta 3.

A little bit of me has long been wondering how many of the issues we see are the result of being given a 'vertical slice' of the whole game - e.g. caused by the artificial boundaries we are kept inside.

I do share the sense of general unease... but what the heck... it had to go live sometime, and no software is ever bug-free... oh and no more wipes (hurrah!!!)

:D
