I'm aware that there will be many Elite Dangerous fans who like to play the game on console, or even on both PC and console, and I want to make it clear that I am 'not' stereotyping console owners as being whingers or people who constantly criticize ED. With that said and out of the way, I can't however help thinking that those who are most likely to moan are mostly console gamers, as it is the nature of the beast that in general console games are more arcadey, simplified and quicker paced than most PC games - there will be some exceptions and I can appreciate that. Given what has seemed to be a torrent of whinging, moaning, crying and with the occasional flying toy and dummy spat, it's evident that there's been a few who have naively gone out and bought the game based merely from their perceptions of having watched Elite Dangerous' trailer - we've all seen the "this is the game I want" posts with reference to ED's trailer [rolleyes] But let's be generous here, sure, the trailer could be construed as being misleading, but only if you choose not to look further than your nose and only in the sense of the scale of pace, but with the time constraints of advertising I'm wondering how FD could have even made their trailer any different to what it is to reflect this.
It's naturally in Frontier's interest to make their games look spectacular and appealing, and if I'm honest I don't see their trailers as being misleading whatsoever. Sure there's a guy standing up in the cockpit, but I see this as a 'what's to come' teaser
But the moral behind this post is to point out that the onus is on the customer to review something before they plan to invest their time and money into it. So if you've bought Elite Dangerous and the game's not what you thought it was or it hasn't lived up to your expectations because you're not prepared to wait for the game to evolve, don't slate the game or attempt to change the certain aspects of game to suit you needs by moaning. Just take it on the chin by at least having the balls to admit that you've mistakenly bought something that turned out to be not what you thought it was. Equally as important, if the game's not for you don't slate it; just because Elite Dangerous may not be for you it doesn't mean it's not for your friend or their friends. We are after all all different, and if you give others an honest opinion about Elite Dangerous I know you won't go far wrong, because regardless if you personally like the game or not, there's no denying that for some Elite Dangerous is uniquely beautiful and brilliant.

Where has all the people gone who started surmising, throwing insults and baseless accusations? Please don't cut and run. If you're going to disagree, make accusations and throw scorn on someone for their post please at least have the common decency to stay and back up your claim/argument. People who have no time to do this because their mind's already made up are merely being rude and extremely arrogant - when people start throwing baseless accusations and throwing insults they're too arrogant to even see that they've already lost the argument.
