Just an opinion but perhaps releasing patches when they are ready is a good idea.. not just because the schedule says you have to..
If that's not what happened then by all means correct me but it certainly looks that way. Beta forums had a lot of complaints about collisions and audio and it was still released, 'final build' seems to have had no public testing at all.
People will moan if your late with patch release but moan more if their ship gets blown up by buggy patches or they cant login at all...
