[Release] VR Turn-by-Turn Route Helper, Updated 3/15/2015
This Autohotkey script makes it easy to follow Rare Trading Routes without taking off your Rift to find the next stop.
(It's REALLY easy!!)
- The script uses CSV files that are exported from Elite Rare Trader (http://eliteraretrader.co.uk/) (Or, make your own route!)
- Use joystick buttons to request the Next or Prev step in your route
- Script auto-types the System Name into the Galaxy Map, and off you go!
- Simple Text-to-Speech keeps you informed:
--- What System you're going to
--- What Station to stop at, and how far away it is
--- What to sell, if any, at this Station
Here's a video demonstrating the Galaxy Map functionality - all done without a keyboard!
How-to Use it:
- Inside the Galaxy Map, select the system Search box.
--- Important: Make sure the search box has focus, because we're about to send a bunch of keystrokes!
- Use mapped buttons to auto-type the Next system name from your route into the search
Functions you can map to buttons:
- Auto-Type the Next stop in your route
- Auto-Type the Prev stop in your route
- Speak the current destination: System, Station, Station Distance
- Speak what you should be selling at this station
Installing / Using:
1) You need any recent version of Autohotkey (http://ahkscript.org/)
2) Extract the attached ZIP somewhere handy: (View attachment 21560)
--- 2 Autohotkey files are in this zip: My script, and a CSV helper library
--- Important: You must edit the script in order to assign/bind your joystick buttons
3) Save exported Route file to your Desktop (http://eliteraretrader.co.uk/)
4) Launch Elite Route Helper.ahk - Just like all "hotkey" scripts, the Route Helper will remain running in your tray until you close it.
