Remember Firefox the Movie

A lot of you guys are around my age. Do you remember Firefox the movie. It was about a thought guided Soviet prototype plane called Firefox that was crazy fast and had rear firing rockets. Clint Eastwood was sent to steal it and he had to think in Russian to control it.

I jumped in my new Mamba in VR and as an English speaker somehow set Covas to Russian. Instantly made me think of the film Firefox. Now if only i had Voice Attack in Russian and this Mamba had rear firing rockets.

Sure do, it was one of the best cold war era spy+techno thriller movies imo now mostly obscured on the web by the firefox browser. The Firefox/Mig-31 did zip around like a fighting spaceship in the movie, although ED's ships would far outpace it where the effects would just be as stunning or more if they ever get to atmospherics. Thanks for the reminder, now I have to try covas in Russian where I have the mamba black paintjob already and fly over an ice world landscape at Mach 5+!

Ya, I haven't seen it since I was a kid in the 80's, and just remember him trying to think in Russian.

I used to love me some Airwolf, too! That one's probably best left to memory.

Yep, Firefox was/is a good flick. I even have a copy in my DVD collection.

Then again I am a fan of most any Clint Eastwood western or war movie.

If you multi-crew, you will.

The gunner role can fire seekers (or torpedoes, or packhounds) in any direction.

So find a friend, practice your fake Russian accents, and live the dream.

I installed Russian COVAS to my Phantom - really like the Russian count down for each FSD start, kinda reminds me of 2010: Space Odyssey. Maxim is awesome!

I remember it being one of the worst movies I ever watched..
Why are people praising it here.
Maybe I was to old when I watched it??
