Remote access to your ship..?

Greetings Commanders,

I was wondering if there is a way to access your ship's computer systems remotely?

I don't mean from your SRV whilst you're driving some distance from your ship, I mean accessing your ship's 'panels' when you're not logged into the PS4/PC/Xbox at all?

For those times when you're on lunch break in the office, or the kids are on the console, or your wife is watching the TV, and you're wondering if you have this or that certain material for your next Engineer's visit, or you want to check your credit balance because you're 'window shopping' Inara or a ship comparison/equipment/build website?

The wealth of ED internet information available out there is astounding, and to really enjoy that in real time, I'd like to be able to access a website or an app where I can actually log into the data from my ship...

I'm not nearly clever enough to go about creating anything like this, but has anyone already done it and I just haven't found it?, or would this be something anyone else might like?

Thoughts anyone?

Go to EDCD.io, Top left tab choose your ship, Click on each slot and install what you presently have. Bookmark it for future reference! That's the only way!

Not much help to you if your solely on PS4. But I use Google remote desktop to access my PC while i'm away or from an old laptop around the house.

Go to EDCD.io, Top left tab choose your ship, Click on each slot and install what you presently have. Bookmark it for future reference! That's the only way!

NOpe - that just saves a load-out. I believe the OP is after a remote view of their ships full compliment including data and material storage, maybe mission clocks etc.

Yes thanks Lngjohnsilver1, that's exactly what I meant - for when you're looking at an Engineering Blueprint away from your console, and need to know if you have the materials needed for the G5 level...

For those of us that have family and work commitments, the amount of 'stick' time we get is sometimes limited, so I like to plan my game time, and if I knew I had the materials I need (to use that same example), I know I'm off to see an Engineer, or if i don't then I need to find out where I can get them, and I know that's what my plan is.

It would just be a way of maximising the use of my game time, and utilising those times when I can't play to do that kind of admin/research/planning...
