...for air to ground assaults. I just tried it out against some sentry skimmers, I didn't even need to leave the ship and it's VERY satisfying to shoot.

(For anyone that doesn't know about it, it's one of the new anti Thargoid weapons. Hold down the trigger to fire then release the trigger to detonate the munition thus releasing a cloud of flak. The reticule glows red when the round hits a target, indicating exactly when to release the trigger).

It’s a nice option.....needs practice but to your point viable within certain usage

I thought this got nerfed so you couldnt use it against ground targets? If not I'll be using this now for skimmers.

Seemed to work fine for me. I wasn't getting instant kills but it still felt like the right tool for the job.

Using explosive mines as bombs is also very effective against ground targets but it needs practice AND the right ship. The Adder is a very capable bomber in my experience. Manoeuvreable, fast, hardpoints perfectly placed for bombing, and cheap if you make a mistake.

You could sling a Flak Cannon on top, ask a mate to join you, paint the exterior a cool military colour and have the ultimate multicrew bomber!!
