Remove Asteroids Clusters from the game please!

Maybe I'm victim of Space Madness... but wouldn't make more sense to remove this spam from the game (asteorids clusters)?

Their only purpose is to saturate the FSS information panel and increase the size of the Journals with useless events.
There's no gameplay for them and the exploration value is 0 (ZERO).

So I request to remove them from the FSS and from the journal events. They can still show up in the system map, just for realism, but please remove them from the rest of the game! :D

making them worthwhile to mine or whatever could be a viable alternative to removing them

You can deep core mine in belt clusters. Apparently easier to spot as well, deep core ones are the only roids that rotate in belt clusters (devs may have patched it out)

You can filter them out so you never really notice them. Look on the left hand panel, part of the navigation stuffs.
That works for navigation but it doesn't remove them from the FSS. Their presence doesn't bother me too much; detecting one detects all of them (at least those around the same body) so if I spot one on the FSS I just tune to the right frequency, zoom in on one and forget about them.

It would be nice if they had a use though.

They are a potential source of materials in systems without ringed planets but AFAIK they do not yield all of the materials for, say, jumponium or an AFMU restock. So it's not as though there's an edge case where a ship could be saved from disaster by visiting a cluster. I'm happy to be corrected on that last point if I'm wrong, but I'd still like to see a specific use for them. At the very least there should be a nominal credit value attached to their discovery. Right now they are nothing but a literal waste of time.

I think I posted something like this. Maybe some type of drop-down menu when you click a Planet it will bring down the asteroids List. Like Void Opal, and other such ores.

Don't remove asteroid clusters!
They are how I got started mining and I still have a soft spot for them - I even used to scan them out exploring back when you had to go up to each one manually*!
I would like to see a bit more done with them though and they should probably do something with the discovery message in the FSS - "Asteroid ring X of Y clusters" would be nice, rather than a notification for each one...

* It is possible I'm insane.

I just want the Discovery Scanner spam gone completely. If I need to know this stuff I know where to look; if I don't need to know it I definitely don't need it flung in my face while I'm trying to do something else.

And while I'm ranting, could the game please stop telling me I'm entering a Combat Zone when I'm doing no such thing?

They can be valuable while exploring as well, when you need materials that aren't available on a planet (or there are no planets in the system you're in). I only wish they had more going on with them - notable life forms / events / etc.

Asteroid belt clusters have plenty of uses:

1) source of raw materials in systems without rings or landables (you won't get G4, but G1-3 are possible)
2) can contain core asteroids (which are therefore easier to find again after the regen period)
3) can contain other points of interest (e.g. installations or dockables)
4) smaller size compared with ring systems makes "map mining" much more straightforward (good for practice)
5) non-rotating asteroids are much easier to laser mine as your collectors won't get knocked out.
6) secret hiding place for Raxxla
7) may add extra minable mineral types to a system (e.g. metallic belt cluster in system with only rocky+icy rings)

They should change the FSS discovery message so that it only appears once per set of asteroids rather than once for each individual cluster, though.
