When you scan a new body in the FSS, the actual details of the scanned object don't appear until the queue of messages for new discoveries has finally, slowly, laboriously worked its way to the end.
So when you scan a bunch of belt clusters to get their blobs off the screen then move on to scan something else, you have to sit there and wait for "discovered belt cluster 1... discovered belt cluster 2... discovered belt cluster 3..." to slowly tick along before it'll finally tell you what you scanned.
At the very least, remove belt clusters from the things that count as "new discoveries", in terms of interest to explorers they rank lower than signal sources, and they're the main cause of sitting there and having to wait for the message queue to clear, by the time it gets to the fifth or sixth cluster popping up on a system I'm just passing through inside the bubble and didn't even honk I feel like screaming "oh my god I don't CARE"
