Remove the 4 AX weapon limit ONLY for the Type-10

The Type-10 was sold to CMDRs as the ultimate Thargoid smasher, a ship designed from the start to be an AX destroying juggernaut but, the four AX weapon limit combined with the T-10's lack of maneuverability has turned my T-10 into an expensive hangar queen.

If there is a single ship that should be allowed to be an all-out, no-holds-barred AX ship it is the T-10. If ONLY that one ship is excepted from the 4 AX weapon limit then I predict wings (or squadrons) of T-10s going up against the flower ships, backed up by wings and squadrons of smaller ships that combine the AX role with the fleet defense (escort) role by taking out missile swarms, scouts and even humans who would dare attack a wing/squadron of T-10s.

Please remove the 4 AX weapon limit from at least the T-10 and give CMDRs like me a reason to join the fight. Thank you.

I've said before, the Guardian Power Plant and Guardian Power Distributor should both offer +1 or +2 guardian/ax weapons when fitted to a ship.

Using those, even with your suggested changes, would actually downgrade my AX T-10.

And on the OP: I disagree with the idea of giving ships in general more AX slots. The limitation to 4 may seem arbitrary, but combined with those weapons not being engineerable it's a way for FD to control how much firepower a player can bring against Thargoid interceptors. It's the last part of the game, where they have the freedom to create challenging content for all players and do actual balancing, without having painted themselves into a corner by implementing stupidly overpowered engineering blueprints.

As the suggestion is for the T-10 only, i have a bit more of mixed feelings here. The ship is slow and lumbering. But it's the best ship for me for AX CZs. No other ship can bring this mix of guardian weapons (to destroy Thargoid interceptors) and regular weapons (to take down Thargoid scouts without having to use the precious ammo of my guardian weapons).

Not many people actually like this ship. It is slow and turns badly. But it does offer unique capabilities. So while i see why you'd like to specifically buff this ship, i am actually not sure if this is necessary, or if the problem rather is that too many people are not ready to adapt to the challenge and accept that the T-10 by now has found another spot (next to bringing more spoilers than any other ship) where it can actually be useful.

The Type-10 needs better hardpoint placement (move the c3s way more inward and the upper c2s moved to the bottom next to the existing c2) for any AX weapon additions to have a positive effect.
And better shields. The shield strength is a joke for such a slow lumbering vessel.

Hardpoint placement isn't THAT bad once you build your ship asymmetrically. I run two fixed weapons on the large hardpoints on the left side. They are not separated by how wide the ship is, but only by how high the ship is. And yes, this is still more than some smaller ships are wide, but depending on what you go for, this actually can be managed. (Although my guardian gauss are on a C1 and the bottom C2 spot. Those are close enough to hit a Thargoid heart together, the C3 would be much too far apart. )

So yes, it would be nice if they would be improved, but that would require a rework of the ships model. Unlikely that we get this. So I guess we better learn to work with the placement we have.

On the shields: yea! They could really use some improvement. And as that's only internal numbers, this change could easily be done.
