Remove the game from steam cloud

Hello my suggestion is to remove the synchronization with the cloud.

I had problem and I researched about my problem to try to solve it, and I found in several places people with other problems more also related to the steam cloud.

I think you'd have a lot less trouble if you did not have cloud synchronization...

I also had a problem with the game ''The Forest'' I could not create a new profile, I deleted the profile and the cloud restored my save, and it was no use to format the computer and nothing like that... Steam does not have a delete option the data from the clouds, so if there is a mess with your files in the cloud.

The game is good, and it is not so cheap compared to other games, and people do not want to have problem, if have some, they usually reimburse the game for being expensive... And in my opinion withdrawing the association with the steam cloud Would alleviate the problems.

Hey malboro

If you really want to disable the Steam cloud syncing with Planet Coaster. You can do this by right clicking on Planet Coaster in your Steam library, select Properties, then Updates, and uncheck 'enable Steam Cloud synchronisation for Planet Coaster'.

I need the convenience of Steam syncing. I go from my laptop to my desktop all the time, and expect to resume whatever I was doing. I love this feature. One thing though ... for some reason, it periodically loses sync. I'll go to my desktop after spending hours on my laptop only to find, the latest work on my park is not updated there. I can then go back to my laptop and play with the latest changes, flip back to my desktop and magically, it's synced again.

I find if i shut my laptop down too quickly, after closing Planet Coaster - then the steam update fails. As the synchronization happens after the game is shut down.

Could this be the issue you are experiencing?

If you disable the cloud the game is not working very well ( I advise you to not disable for test, you can bug your save and lock your game on the home screen ... The my locked, i had to ask for a refund and I will buy it again for try to delete my profile from the steam cloud and get to play )

That is, if cloud synchronization fails for some reason later, you may have enough headache.

I am two days trying to solve my problem, I refunded and I am installing again, if my game continues giving error I will have to reimburse permanently :/

Because there's no way I can stay with a game that I can not play unfortunately.

And I think more people are having problems, just google search about error with save game, or with steam cloud to find several errors:

The save being on the PC, we can make a backup easily, delete, edit at any time you want ... But if you are in the clouds you can not do anything, because Steam unfortunately has no option to clean the cloud.

Another person reporting problem if disable the steam cloud, so disabling is not being a good option at the moment [ugh]

Hey, Stuk71 - good seeing you too. I do indeed shut the laptop off when I'm finished, where as the desktop is on 24/7. Good tip - I'll experiment. Thanks!

Hey, I'm not sure if you are aware or not, but you can actually access the save files from the game on your computer. I went to this forum:

It showed the exact location of your save files and from there you can delete, move, copy, do whatever you want with them. I think the cloud saving is just an added backup really.

I moved so much that I'm not sure what the solution was ><

I was able to remove the game from the cloud but I continued to have problems on the home screen...

So I manually cleaned the computer, removed some programs, deleted some application folders already uninstalled from the computer.

Apparently it is working normally, I entered the game and I managed to play a little.

Glad you worked out how to fix it! I rely on the steam cloud to switch easily between computers, though I do having syncing issues from time to time. I usually have to turn one on, load the game to get it to sync, then switch to the other computer that I want to use.
 
Yeah, if your game crash, internet hang, pc shutdown, or something of the kind can occur corruption of some file and bug your synchronization with the cloud [wacky]

Then you may have big problems with your game [where is it]

So besides the cloud help keep your game safe, it has its negative sides...

The Developers should talk with the Frontier Developments Team and see if people are having a lot of problems with the cloud... If yes, the best option would be to unlink the game to the cloud (the option that I think is best in my opinion)

I don't think that's a good solution to be honest. I have no issues with Steam cloud syncing, but if I ever did I would simply disable it for myself. Perhaps you could do that too? I honestly don't think that Frontier will reverse their work on implementing Steam API into their game, just because one person doesn't know how to work it.

It's not just '' a person with problem '' just a quick search on google, a look at the game review to see.

The correct is an analysis and go for most, it is not because 10 is not having problem that 100 has to be having problem, and vice versa, it is not because 10 is having problem that has to disable.

My suggestion was this, because while I was with error, I visualized many people with the same problem also, and deactivating the cloud, they said that the game did not work cool.
