I don't know about some of you but I haven't enjoyed elite this much in ages. It was getting to point where I'd seen it, done it, bought the t-shirt, but just lately I can't stop playing.

Yes there are some annoying bugs (the plethora of foibles with wings and the odd AI issue) but otherwise it has been great fun.

I've just finished up the Methet CG which I really enjoyed mainly because the AI is so much more diverse. Checking the rank: master, no problem I'll just stay inside his turning arc. Dangerous: I'll need to really focus on pip management. Dangerous/elite: this will be a slog.... How much chaff and scbs do I have left again?

Finished in the top 10% and left absolute buzzing!

I also love that we now have ice field to fight in. So much nicer than the usual dark and gloomy asteroid fields.

It ain't perfect, but it's enjoyable!

Not so much fun when the RES moves into the shadow of the planet, especially if it happens late afternoon early evening game time when there is much too much ambient light in the room for me to reliably distinguish the various shades of black.

When I got there it wasn't, it went dark while I was halfway through the ring trying to line up a wanted ship I did hit him but unfortunately clipped the wrong ship as well. Ended up being chased by 2 or 3 cops while trying to set up for a hyperjump.

Always hairy when that happens. After a couple of very close calls I've decided discretion is a better idea and I just go find another one. Those asteroids come out of nowhere when you least expect it :)

Fighting in an ice ring in the dark is just stunning. I blew up a ship right next to an iceberg and the whole thing lit up.

I was watching amazed one time (in the light) as two Anacondas duked it out especially impressive was when the authority annie rammed the other into a berg.
