Seeing as Fdev do nothing with regard to cheating in ED why not simply rename 'Open' to 'Public Sandbox' and publish (officially) the dev tools that have been leaked and are now freely available online for those who may not be aware ED had been critically compromised and is on its way to a meeting with Dignitas in Switzerland. Also, remove Powerplay as the cheat engine removed the 'travel time' to anywhere in the galaxy.

I don't know where you get that cheating is that big of a problem.
In 3000h I have met one obvious cheater and two idiots claiming to cheat to raise awareness...
If you got destroyed in a few seconds by another player, I suggest you check your builds since dedicated combat ships can be quite OP.

.....shall we count the number of times Fdev have removed cheaters from the game.... Oh, thats right, they dont do they.
Tell you what, how about we meet in open later and I'll show you how small of a problem cheating in ED is? I'll bring my unengineered Sidey without weapons..

So what evidence do you have that FDev is not doing anything?
Over a year ago a player group created a few accounts to specifically monitor cheating using the tools on internet. The purpose was to monitor how Fdev reacted to hard evidence of cheating. Emails, video evidence, and tickets logged to Fdev and did get a response, the 'boilerplate' email standard from Fdev....... and nothing else. Those accounts that were reported are still working in open today..... Over a year later.

I've just watched Obsidian Ants video on it an he seems genuinely concerned... so as far as I can see cheats and cheaters do exist, allowing infinite shields and even maxing out modules beyond their capabilities would affect those poor souls playing the game as intended.
maybe ED should close Open!
