Renaming colonisation assets

I’ve renamed an Outpost, orbital installations and a Coriolis, all just using the random name generator button in-game. I’ve heard of recent issues with the paid ARX ‘make your own name’ option but I’m sure it’s just a bug.
EDIT: the good thing is you can just keep pressing the button to change names as many times as you like, it’s only the number of saves that are restricted to five.

Yes, you can, I renamed my primary outpost right after I finished it. It should be in the uppermost tab of the right hand menu that pops up when you select an asset in the system map.
Ahh so it's in the system map view ? - I thought I saw the rename facility within the menu system when you've docked at an installation, unless there's more than one way? - I'll check out that way via system map, thanks
Well that's where I found it at least - I wouldn't be surprised if there was a second place where you could rename it. I would check in-game, but I can't because currently I am not the architect of the system I colonized
. But I think it's the top most tab.I may be wrong here, but I am very certain it was the top most one, above the greyed out colonization tab. The one also listing the services. But as I said, I cannot verify this. But I definitely renamed my outpost from the system map.

I’ve done it using the system map (I’m pretty certain I renamed two installations that way as you can’t land on them) and I think I renamed my primary outpost whilst docked at it. My most recent station was renamed before I even finished constructing it so that must have been through the system map (in Architect mode.) For that I remember it being on the right hand side and certainly near the top.

Pretty sure your problem right now is the overall issue with system architects. The screenshot above was not the system architect view, just the regular view. And with the current issue most if not all people do not have the architect view available with a completed port. Wait until that's resolved and you'll likely see the option, it was pretty obvious to me.Thanks, that's useful to know - at least I'm not going crazy (or blind)
Looking at the map I’m assuming you’ve finished your station? If so have you also been locked out of the Architect part? I don’t see any of the icons on the map for further expansion and if that’s the case you are most likely locked out from renaming the station - which would also point to it most likely being in the greyed out colonisation icon (second down on the right.)So just had a look, are you referring to the Colonisation icon on the right (which is greyed out) ? or was it something else. I'm blind as a bad

I found this screenshot on another thread, relating to another issue (hence the red circle drawn onto it) but it does clearly show the rename facility you were looking for and we were struggling to describe/remember after being locked out of our systems. Looks like Helmut Grokenberger was right, it's under system info, top right button.
