Until recently I had been picking up any mission I Could find without realising the consequences.
I keep to about a 5 system neighbourhood around Chemaku/Ciguru/Aiabiko and picked up all the message/WTB missions I found, thinking that I'd be at the required station sooner or later and could, after I had loads of WTB missions plan trips filling all the orders.
Then I noticed my rep my everyone was tanking. my previous allies in Ciguru, the ones that dished out the delicious 200k delivery missions were now unfriendly. i worked out that:
message missions, when the timer expires pay about 1/3 of orginial sum (although you have another 24hrs to do them) when delivered they give +ve rep
When timer expires on WTB missions you can still hand them in and get the agreed sum, but they give you -ve rep
going through all missions and dropping red missions that have taken too long absolutely destroys your rep.
Be careful commanders. do no pick up any missions you arent 100% sure you can complete in the time limit if you value your rep.
