I sent the elite dangerous Facebook page a msg asking if there was any more definitive date for the PS4 release and the message back was that it will be announced first on the forums and social media. At least we know where we will find out first instead of grinding through web pages looking for info. Don't know if the Facebook page has any input from the Devs but respect anyway for taking the time to answer back

They announced 2.3 first on twitter. It was only by a couple of minutes (probably the length of time to compile the respective post, check for spelling mistakes and upload any picture)
I would expect the order of things to be Twitter --> Facebook --> Discord --> Forums, and it could well be the user community posting on the forums before the official forum announcement
