Hello Engineers :)

Can anyone confirm that delivering exploration data to Farseer Inc. will increase rep even when half way through grade 4? I turned in some data today and it didn't appear to have a positive effect on the percentage bar. It may have just been too little data, but I wanted to check before going out on a longer range trip!

i believe it has been confirmed that date can get you to rank 5 but it was in to the tune of 10 mil in data... it think she might actually care more about # of systems rather than dollar but i only was able to test this with my two pages of data and can't confirm

Thanks. I'll go on a trip this evening and see if a couple of hundred systems makes any significant dent on the progress bar :)

Definitely possible. Im at Level-5 only on data and no mods made.

Level 3 > 4 takes around 10,000cr in data per 1%
Level 4 > 5 takes around 70,000cr in data per 1%
.
The percent bar does not update immediately.
If you really need to know how it changed immediately after selling explorer data exit to menu and reload, or leave and return, or be patient and wait for the update.

When you are done here, do the same for Elvira, but she wants more data than Felicity :)

For completeness this is what I have for Elvira.

Level 1 > 2: 1,700 cr/1%
Level 2 > 3: 6,700 cr/1%
Level 3 > 4: 28,700 cr/1%

Not reached the next tier yet as I defected to the Adle's Armada Coalition popularity contest :)

seems that we still can't know how much credit we have in data during our exploration, it's annoying to have to wait till the very last moment when we will sell them.

I have something like 150 neutron star data on me, i am going back to home, 9000 more Ly, i hope i can get something like rank 4

Maybe I'm just bugged, or blind, but was just there yesterday to unlock her for first time with meta alloy. After unlocking her, she gave me choices to upgrade, but I saw no screen or button to allow selling exploration data. (and I did have at least few pages of exploration data to sell, but saw no option to turn them in)

Is the sell exploration option non obvious or small button or what?

I believe its the universial cartographers option, like at any other star port. Then again I haven't been able to get it to move myself, so I might be doing it wrong too.

That should comfortably put you into Tier 4 with Felicity if you get an average of 50,000 per Neutron star.
You might even hit Tier 5 if you are lucky with all the other data you are bound to have.
When you get close to Tier-5, be selective in selling data so you don't waste it here after hitting the max instead of starting on Elvira.

Next time you log on/land the Cartographic option will appear now you have unlocked her.

Oh ok - so it's not in the NPC screen but on the port interface like normal. Will look for it there next time. thanks.

Should put you close to rank 5, too! Definetly good use of the data.

I am on my way to the neutron star field...feeling lonely and bored (damn, I should have modded my FSD to grade 1 before departing!)...I wish FD could have implemented things to make exploration more interesting..even dangerous things...

will say seems like vs confirmed and let you decide. I've been ranking up with her via explore data but not by big credit explore data via usual exploration trip. Whenever I do long range mission runs, I get the freebie explore data using ADS honk-and-go while waiting for fsd recharge.

So small credits, lots of pages turned in. Based on what ppl have been sayin re credit cost to rank 5, my progressions seems about right. Am at rank 4 about half in, getting close to about 10M turned in so that sounds about right given what ok have said re rank 5 cost
