Repair costs shot up

Cant wait to login. Just before update I made a mistake and let my shields drop. Hull to 56% on pyyhon. Cost 500k. Thought I wouldn't do anything until after update.

Whilst 500k sounded alot. Given the amount of damage to 85mill python it then doesnt seem so bad. There should be a consequence for mistakes.

Logged in 50k repair now. The cost of a single wanted viper. Sorry but why bother charging at all.

Same question here. And I'd go even further and ask why is the repair button / screen even there? Why the mandatory click? Imagine that in Fallout or Witcher, you repair your gear by clicking on it. You forget, you lose your gear. That's it. That's all the 'depth' you'll ever get.

Frontier, since this is now the case and the repair 'costs' are now finally set in stone (Are they? They are, aren't they?) and any and all hindrances of having your boat damaged have been removed from the game, can we please have an option to auto-repair as soon as docked please? No, I'm not 'lazy to click a button'. But every time I do I feel like an idiot.
_
No. Let me rephrase that. I AM an idiot, but you don't know that Frontier. You don't know me. Can you kindly stop assuming that I am one?

Can't have your cake and eat it.. You got the 10% dropped! something has to give somewhere.

Nonsense. All my life I've had my cake and eaten it too. I see no reason why 'Elite' should put an end to that.

Expensive cars should have high repair bills? Nope, think again. I get a full service contract thrown in with any new Audi A8, I'll never have to pay a dime until I get the next one.

hehe cute...

For many little things I stumble over here and there, I also believe they do assume that. Maybe this forum has lead them to that assumption idk.

And I really can't understand why one click is enough to order and settle a half million credit ship repair, but for my 10 credit paint repair, I need to confirm that I really want to spend the 10 credits separately, making for a total of 6 key presses (D, S, Spacebar, then D, S, and Space bar again to confirm.)

That's more buttons than to wipe your save (for which I'd prefer if FD made a stronger assumption of us being idiots and nesting that further down in the menu and requiring the password to actually do it)

Yes but he's talking in terms of "a bug", we don't know what that bug is, it may only be in how the costs are broken down or displayed not the costs themselves. My repair costs have not only gone up, I've noticed there are cost changes in industrial systems (cheaper) and places I'm allied to (again cheaper), this looks like a good bit of game balancing. We'll have to wait and see.

it was a bug

great to see it's fixed, thanks FD.

Before that update my python was down to 50 something % 500k on a rebuy of 4.5 mill. After update about 50k so that seems high unless rebuy is obscene unless a spec clipper.

Can confirm it is lower again now and these are my post exploration costs:

As of 21st June:
1.4mil to put integrity of my Anaconda from 0->100% which isn't bad at all considering the modules weren't that expensive (internals cost 53mil new).
50,000Cr to repair from 70% hull to 100% which is a tad cheap imho. Not by a long way but I think a 30% hull repair for an Anaconda should be more in the region of about 100,000Cr or there abouts I think. That'd make it roughly ~340k to repair from 1% hull.

Just as an addendum to this. I am not complaining about the low costs, I do not want this to ping pong around again but its just my opinions on the state now. Integrity is about perfect in my eyes since that can drop fairly quickly even with "good" flying.
