Newcomer / Intro Repairing Power Plant - Help

Hey All, how do I use the AFU to repair my Power Plant? I am out deep and wanting to top it off (it is at 94%), but I can't repair it, nor can I offline it to repair it. I am not in Super Cruise, do I have to be?

Help with repairing this would be appreciated.

94% shouldn't affect you too much

If the damage gets to 80% then you might start getting intermittent failures, shut off the power to any non essential modules until you can get to a station to repair it.

Essential modules are Thrusters and FSD so you can move Sensors so you can lock on to the station and request docking and Life Support if it is going to take too long to get to the station and dock.

Sounds good, it is odd it says Repair, but doesn't allow it. I guess it's just the coding, no use removing that from one item. Thanks all!

Could be for consistency (all the other modules have it). I think it's called Mystery Meat Navigation (edit - it isn't ) if a UI removes things when they can't be used - people often complain 'why can't I see X?'. It should be coloured differently so you can see it's not possible (not in game so can't check).

An example where they have done as you suggest was in the recent beta - they removed the 'show system map' icon from the galmap where it was not available. Cue a long series of threads asking where the icon had gone...
