"Repairs" vs "Repair All"

What is the difference between "Repairs" (L panel of the Services screen) ...

... and "Repair all" (middle panel)?

Even after having done a "Repair all", clicking on "Repairs" often shows up more repairs that evidently want doing (and paying for!).

Repair All fixes all of your internal components. Repair allows individual repair choices, but also includes Hull Integrity which isn't covered by the "All" option.

A lot of folks like to have a worn paint-job. If you "repair all" it fixes the paint too...

In the "repair" area you can fix "wear and tear" too.

hull integrity is different from cosmetic looks. Its to do with the super structure of the ship. Think a car where its paint work is immaculate but inside its a rusted bucket and at high speeds bolts and parts wobble damaging the internals that are connected to them.

The paint does still get scratches but it happens a lot slower than it did in gamma, too slow IMO. My Eagle is starting to look a bit rough round the edges, It also gets dirty and faded

unfortunately yes. i so much wanted to have a worn out paintjob after seeing it in beta. but it's still bugged since release :/

I would kind of like to see "repair and tear" fix the scratches on the glass (and hence "clean the windows").

I know FD is trying to add some detail to the game here but I agree with this one! Who(in their right mind) is going to plan a trip to fight for their life with mud on their glasses?

Please let us clean the windshields!
