Repenomamus robustus (Cretaceous Honey Badger)

The best part of the fossil record is the many surprises it carries. From invertebrates to large mammals of the Ice Age and near we have an amazing Cenozoic Honey Badger like creature from China that apperantly could fight against some dinosaurs to feed itself. This fossil mirrors the famous Velociraptor vs Protoceratops duel but instead uses a Psittocosaur locked in what appears to be a duel against this ferocious mammal (which attacked the dino babies) until it seems to have been caught on a flash lava flow leading the two opponents to be frozen in volcanic rock.
