Replace defence turrets with railguns

The Imperial Majestic-Class Interdictors have turreted railguns as opposed to the Farragut's broadside cannons, and the bases and settlements throughout the game seem to all use the Farragut's model. What if Imperial-aligned bases had their capital-class defense turrets replaced with those railguns, and the anti-SRV turrets replaced with (buffed) versions of those purple-laser defence turrets littered all over the Interdictor? Not only would I think it would increase immersion, but Imperial weapons are bloody cool.

Thoughts?

It would be nice to see more variation between Federal and Imperial structures.
It's odd that their ships are so different but the stations are identical.
