Reporting back. Griefing gameplay is a lot of fun!

After being attacked and killed a few times for nothing (see other thread) I decided to try it myself.

Well to be honest I didn't expect this griefing/pirate/psycho play style to be much fun, but it is actually not bad at all.

I got an eagle with dumbfires and waited around George Lucas. After a few failed attempts and getting shot by the station or CMDR's it felt like an actual challenge. As a new strategy I waited around within the station. Even though there is only a five minute window that is enough as it is always busy at George Lucas. Finally I saw a type 6 come in slowly through the letter box. As he had no way to maneuver and was very close to my 3 dumbfires launchers I opened up and killed him very quickly. Anyway it feels wrong but exiting at the same time. Like stealing from a shop or something.

Doing the bad thing is actually fun gameplay, recommend you to try it. Get an eagle and have some (wicked) fun!

Its definatly good for some giggles. When I did it, I made sure to only interdict those who would have a fair fight against my viper, like other vipers and cobras. Lots of fun racking up a huge bounty in an independent system.

Lol, hypocritical much? Griefing ok unless of course, it happens to you. You are worse than the people who blew you up.

If I was this T6 pilot, I would the plug and laugh at you. I have never met a 'griefer' yet, and normal pirates or bounty hunters are too easy to evade normally, but I really want to try this tactics. Then I will check the forum and laugh at people whining the can't kill anyone even if they want it sooo much and FD has to do something with that. Delicious.

dumbfire suicide ganking at stations is griefing and an exploit.

What is the exploit? I mean sure, abusing the 'the PDT trigger station attacks' is an exploit, but shooting someone in the station seems perfectly legit to me. Pointless, too, but that is a different discussion. FD clearly intends people to be able to use weapons in the safezone, otherwise they could have just removed station defenses and locked the weapons in the safezone. The OP is not using exploits to evade the consequences either, he clearly states having been killed over and over again himself.

That would never work. You are dead within a second and there is no way disconnecting will help here. Remember the T6 was not warned and was just on his way to his pad.

Im sorry for being rude but that is just stupid. I would like you to try this on my kitted Anaconda. Silly Eagle.

Does the pirate get away without losing his ship? No? Then it's not an exploit. Working as intended.
It is worth repeating again though, THIS IS NOT GRIEFING, IT IS PLAYING THE GAME IN A WAY WHICH WAS INTENDED!

Firing missiles might be working as intended but the point defense turret activation they cause on target ship and subsequent station turning hostile to them has been confirmed for exploit by devs.

Also you can currently dock to after committing murder inside station so you don't even lose your ship if you are a smart griefer.

Seriously? Sitting inside a station - so effectively untouchable by your unsuspecting target - shooting up traders for sh*ts and giggles is intended gameplay? Maybe in your universe. Not mine. Nor do I think that takes you anywhere on the moral road to Elite status.

Going kamikaze, eating the cost of your ship (when it gets blown up by the station) plus the bounty, all in order to ruin someone else's day at no gain to yourself, in a way that the other guy has no realistic defense against?

No, I think this one does count as griefing.
