Reporting to Codex

Hi there, i have mapped planets and found geysers etc, but I dont know how to report these to codex?

When you hand in cartographic data, the Codex is updated. Any Codex payouts for geological or other anomalies are handled in the contacts section at a star port.

Dunno about that. I confirmed a couple of things, and it seemed to be confirmed directly, not when I handed in the data. Payouts yes, but from the looks of it reports to codex are instant.

Not entirely sure though...

I think confirmation is a 'personal' thing, that 'you' have confirmed it exists. Going by the couple of reported and confirmed I have done in the last few days it appears that way.

When you found the geysers did you scan them with the composition scanner? If not - no codex for you.

If only it actually worked..... It's broken for surface stuff like geological and biological POIs (at least on PS4). Unless there's a special ritual one must go through for surface items?

i found new life. tried to scan it, nothing... not even a message like i get with geological.
What really hurting about it is, its 26kly from the bubble, the first time i saw it i crashed into the planet.. boom, 3 weeks data gone.
instantly got back on the horse and headed right out there. scanned the life forms and nothing. Don't know what to do, tried to submit a ticket, but i don't seem able to send a ticket.

don't know if it only shows when handed in, but other geological show confirmed before handing in, and this life is not even in the codex for that area.
