I was hoping to explore the megaship I they destroyed by docking and walking about. Guess I'll have to make do with being stranded on a planet surrounded by dozens of Thargoids instead.

Yes it would have been much more immersive for these unfortunate commanders to have to escape somehow, not just be magically rescued… could there have been escape pods at least?
