Reputation confusion

Hi guys!
Quick question and maybe some smart advice...
I'm hostile with federation - I really don't know how I did that. Today I was neutral and than I've made couple quest in Ngaliba. After 2-3 hours I decided to flight back to Kremain but than I saw that their ships are in red. Anyone know how to regain this reputation? I did not kill any authorities.

You probably picked up some stolen cargo floating around in space. Sadly, the reputation system is completely broken right now. Expect a fix soon.

Tons of it. In this anarchy system there are only two independent outposts with black market in both of them. I farmed a loads of money this way.

Another thing, you don't have to kill authority ships to get a bad rep. When you kill a ship that has a bounty you often are killing a ship that is a part of a smaller faction that is a part of the main faction. This lowers your rep overall with the main faction because you are technically killing a citizen of that empire. Generally I only claim bounties on independent factions for that reason. You can check in the left screen under contacts what faction a ship/pilot belongs to and check in the right screen what empire that faction is in (or if its independent)

The rep system is very in depth and so far for me has shown no signs of being broken. I have obtained allied status with the group who controls my home system, and friendly with a few other minor factions in the empire. Also friendly with the empire itself, and ranked baron in the imperial navy. I'm now trying to do the same thing in Federal space. Never had an issue or had anything act differently than it should.

Yes, though worth pointing out that Sandro said this was a bug and the release notes claimed to have fixed it long ago.
