Newcomer / Intro Reputation feature under Fleet Carrier Trading listing

In Odyssey, on the system map, under Fleet Carrier features, Trading, is a Reputation score. All the ones I've seen have been 100.00.

Can anyone tell me: what is this score, what are its effects, and what can change it?

This doesn't do anything as far as I can tell.
Maybe it's some kind of leftover from a past idea Fdev had, like commanders being able to rate carriers' services or something.

Yeah. I mean, probably. Maybe I'm missing something. I also don't know about and use many obscure features that DO have function, so... yeah.

Although it says "100.00" on the system map, when you look at carrier details on the navigation panel it says "Reputation: Not Applicable". I wonder if that means your reputation, as a player, with the FC squadron / owner?? Though can't see any mechanic for it.

And Tuning appears under FCs as well....

I thought it was an old term for outfitting.

Not sure it's either, as outfitting was always shown separately anyway.

OK after far too little thought was it a placeholder for remote engineering locations?

If memory serves me well, outfitting was always outfitting, but the tuning section I'd say was put there as a placeholder for something separate that eventually over the years turned into engineers. They just never bothered to remove it.
