Reputation-System

Uhm, I really like the Idea behind it: having rides age from the newest addition to common then to a stale thing.

But it doesn't work. The counter is way to hard, it is day 5 and rides are old. Would you call Zadra, F.L.Y. and other rides of that time old?
I wouldn't even dare to call Chiapas old or dated.

So first 5 days/years are way to short for an entire cycle.

Then there is the issue, why bother with something old, when you can get something new, as long as I am not landlocked i wouldn't be bothered with re-doing the area. Like whole rebuild, is harder than desgining from the scratch.

Ok, now I am landlocked, what do i do with my old new rides: In real life the park would properly redo the area, new theming and so on: What does almost every PC player with common sense? Correct he deletes the ride: Guess what ride fits the old spot? exactly the same ride as the new one. So I am replacing the ride 1:1, if it is themed i make blueprint.

So the system isn't good.

Now comes the issue, what does reputation: It seems to give a small intrasparent penalty to prestige. Yeah, I couldn't be bothered less. But the second issue is: Guests think: ride xy looks old and dated. And this feels annoying since it creates a bit of agency in every player to do something about it.

How about you make the whole reptuation system optional? In Sandbox.

And then if you want to have an aging system put it to scenery as non repairable 'damage': the wear and tear, the small cracks in walls, the painting that is coming off and so on, I would be totally fine to replace scenery and rethink my ride, if it happens every 15 years or so. But the system right now feels bad.

I don't understand this whole system. There is a timeline with 4 markings. 1. new (=good), 2. aged (=bad), 3. reviving (=good), 4. old (=bad) or classic (=good)

Why is stage 2 indicated worse than stage 3?
What is the consequence of reaching other stages?
Will a good maintenance affect it?

On day six I do have many rides with status old. Day 6! If you're decorating a ride without pause it could already be old before you finished placing scenery.
While I saw one coaster having classic status in stage 4, but especially flat rides have the status old.

I would prefer if they would adapt the timeline closer to the real world... New rides (0-6 or 12 months) = hyped, then (up to 2-3 years) = new, then (up to 15 years) = standard age rides, then old rides = less frequented while iconic rides (maybe with good scenery rating) are more frequented

As the weather is devided into 24 hours temperature, sun/rain a weather dependent ride rating would be cool. Hot -> water rides, rainy-> indoor rides

Another nice rating could be affected by queuing times. Less frequented rides become more frequented if nearby rides have long queuing times.
