Reputation with pirates in anarchy systems

I am trying to figure out whether destroying some local pirates interdicting me will affect my reputation with their factions. After camping in one of the anarchy systems I now have a lot of green ships trying to interdict me. Any idea whether I can return fire?

As long as you don't get a bounty on you, there's no rep loss to shooting anyone wanted. Exception are assassination missions. In anarchy you can just shoot ANYTHING you want, except stations.

Also, see my FAQ in the sig to "be safe" and not get confused about things.

Edit: one thing i forgot to mention - if pirates hate you enough, they'll send assassins to kill you :)

Even if you kill wanted ships (using a K-Warrant scanner) and kill ships from the anarchic dominating faction ? It does not makes you lose reputation with the faction ? Not sure of that.

I spent quite a bit of time at the nav beacon in my local anarchy system and I am still neutral with the system's factions. No one shows a bounty, but I kill warrant scan them and then kill the ones that have a bounty from somewhere else. I only shot one or two ships without a bounty that I accidentally got into a fights with.

On the other hand, the resource extraction point in the system has authority ships. I avoid it because for some reason they want to shoot me when I start fights there. I imagine shooting those ships might have some faction implications. I think the devs haven't fixed extraction points to work properly in anarchy systems, otherwise why are there authority ships?

I have also been wondering about this...
...I ended up destroying an 'authority ship' at an anarchy resource site and I was worried I might now be wanted somewhere. But I've travelled around systems with all the factions since then and... no issues...

I was wondering if its just the devs way to make bounty hunting at anarchy resource sites more challenging?! If so, its a wierd way to do it. And just makes me stick to nav points...

If you bounty hunt longer in there killing station's faction member you will drop your reputation. No bounty on you does not mean no reputation loss.
