Request: Custom Music Folder for Personalized In-Game Music

Hello, Planet Coaster 2 development team and community!

One of the standout features of the original Planet Coaster was the ability to add custom music to our parks. This allowed us to create unique atmospheres and add a personal touch to each park, which I—and many others—really enjoyed.

I'd like to request that Planet Coaster 2 include a dedicated folder for custom music, where players can easily add their own music files to use in-game. This would greatly enhance the immersion and creative possibilities for all players, giving us more control over our park's ambiance.

Benefits of a custom music folder:

  • Greater creative freedom in setting the park’s atmosphere.
  • Allows players to incorporate their favorite music seamlessly.
  • Increases the individuality and uniqueness of each park.
I hope the development team considers adding this feature, whether in future updates or ideally at launch. Thank you to the team and community for reading and for any feedback!

Thank you for also talking about this! I noticed this and got rlly frustrated and let down seeing this isn’t in the early access build the content creators have.
In PC1 Id always have certain songs ranging from different genres in different areas in my park and that added a more realism feature to that game and not being able to add custom music in this game as of right now is very very disappointing.
Part of me thinks it’s just not there yet cause of the keys they gave out and it’s just not enabled yet as a feature, and the other part of my thinks it’s not going to be included due to console players being not able to have access to custom music which I hope that’s not the case for us PC players.
If it’s not at launch hopefully it gets added soon. As well as custom Billboards as well.

I also am hoping they will include this as part of the PC release. I loved taking some videos of my kids sports and having them posted around the park. The custom music and video for the video boards was a very cool feature in PC1. Please bring it back.
