A number of the key bindings have a Button Mode option. Namely yaw roll, forward only throttle reverse, rotational correction, silent running, cargo scoop, mic mute and head look. Probably a few others I have missed as well. Two other controls that would suit this are landing gear and lights. Quite a few joystick setups, the Warthog to name one, have toggle switches as opposed to press to make and release to break type of switch. These toggle switches lend themselves having landing gear up or down settings or lights on or off etc. It would also make things easier for people wishing to construct their own custom cockpit using Arduino controllers etc.

Other than calibration it can be done as well. If it pushs the light button on each flick, it will operate as intended.
E.G Flick up - lights on - flick down - lights off.
Admittedly I could use the button toggle for my voice commands, although I've never actually used it in a weird way. I could say engage hyperdrive technically to drop out of supercruise, but I don't.
