Request for confirmation: exploration rank progression

Could somebody who isn't Elite in exploration please test whether exploration rank progression counts the profit from scans as 1:1, as in 2.2, or as 2:1, as it was in the 2.3 beta? The 2.3 launch appears to have reverted this change, according to its changelog, and the "penalty" is only applied to passenger missions.
For example, if you are at Pioneer rank, and sell 2M Cr worth of scans, did you progress 2% or 1%?
 
So, nobody knows anything about it, and could confirm which it's in live now, the old way or the beta way?
 
I am pioneer level and have just cashed in 2.5 million and this gave me 2% increase, so without knowing the fraction of a percent I was on, it looks like it is still 1:1. If someone with more data could check, that would help.
 
just 4k distance travelled and ~100 Lvl3 scans brought in

10.747.976 CR -> Pioneer 65% to 71%

(with around 700k from 2.2 in pocket)
Hm, interesting. With the old (2.2) way, that should have been 65%->75/76%. So it might just be an error in the patch notes then? For Carabeener, it could have been due to fractions, like he said. Looks like we need to check >2M Cr payouts.

I've just gone from 15%->44% pioneer by getting around 53/54m credits from exploration (all scans done post 2.3 launch).

I assume someone who knows the ranking scale can probably work it out better then me but my guess its half credit value per 1% rank increase as from what I read you would of needed about 100m to go from 0 to 100% pioneer pre 2.3 (please correct me if I am wrong)

As far as I know, you aren't wrong, before 2.3 the percentage at pioneer would have been around 1% (although probably not exactly, seeing that your increase would have been 26.5% then). Looks like it really is the 2:1 ratio, and it's just the final patch notes that were wrong. It's not like they weren't wrong in other places, such as which engineers have which grades of sensors and DSS mods.
