Horizons Request for NPC Crew Voicepack / Voice Attack Responses

There is a limited voice response set for NPC crew members. Initially it was great to have a little quasi-conversation about combat activities, but the limited responses just became annoying and I dropped the volumes down on them. I would really appreciate a well-crafted, deep set of voice responses - possibly with random time delays after issuing fighter orders to enrich the NPC crew member experience. Possibly just random chat pops about previous kills, dreaded mythical opponents, thargoid ponderings etc. I would drop a few bucks on an NPC crew member voice pack for sure.

The HCS voice packs were a great add-on for voice attack, I have several of the packs and I must say that it is sad that FDev missed out on that. I feel like we should be able to have in-game conversations with our NPC (AI) players, but... It is a multiplayer game so we could just talk with other players rather than rely on AI conversations. It is difficult to imagine all of the possibilities with a game in development, FDev has done a great job but there are some obvious miscalculations.

This would be nice but it would take a lot of continuous work to keep it fresh and, most likely, a dedicated team working on this. I'm not sure I would necessarily want this.

What I would like is a deeper integration of the voice attack so it knows what panel you are on and can bind commands to all functions. No more tabbing and arrowing down for the docking request, just toggle the request. This would be much more immersive and I would pay for this level of functionality.

I stopped using voice attack because it was too bothersome to keep the voice attack synched with the correct tab. IT always seemed to fail about the time I got jumped and was more frustrating than it was worth. It does the keybinding stuff quite well but the tabbed stuff gets quite out of synch some times.

And besides, you can only stand to hear Orion sing "Fly Me To The Moon"

so many times before it becomes just background noise...

I agree that singular key bindings or chords would make things much smoother. Trying to target an enemy ship power plant, fsd cargo hatch, or thruster for example should be a uniform task, but each ship is unique. It is pretty easy to set up a call for a random voice file in voice attack - so I was thinking this wouldn't be too overwhelming a task. I guess what we all crave is a bit of meaningful interaction in an mmo...
