Request: Inclusion of All Classic Themes from Planet Coaster in Planet Coaster 2

Hello, Planet Coaster 2 development team and community!

One of the greatest strengths of the original Planet Coaster was its extensive variety of themes and styles, from Adventure and Pirates to Sci-Fi and Fantasy. These themes allowed us to build immersive and diverse parks that truly brought our creative visions to life.

*I’d like to propose that all themes and assets from the original Planet Coaster be included in Planet Coaster 2. This would give us seamless access to the familiar designs many of us know and love, enabling us to continue and expand upon the concepts we developed in the first game.

Benefits of including classic themes:

  • It would provide a broad selection of building elements that spark our creativity.
  • Allows us to recreate or expand upon parks from the original Planet Coaster.
  • Enables the mixing of new content and assets with classic styles, resulting in even more versatile park designs.
I hope the development team considers integrating the classic Planet Coaster themes into Planet Coaster 2, whether at launch or in future updates. Thank you to the team and the community for reading and for your feedback!

From the looks of it, Frontier has to do this:

  • Give PC players a superior game because we have stronger hardware. Only limit consoles with stuff like the 6000 guest cap and the smaller parks so give us the option to remove limits (and when we choose this, we agree our stuff can no longer be shared on the frontier workshop with consoles)
  • Allow us to have custom images/billboards and custom music again
  • Steam workshop + mod support on there
  • Give some free QOL updates in the beginning such as re-adding features from the first game like security guards, hotels and so on

Then I would be happily buying the DLC after that

Exactlt that, they need to make this change and fast or their biggest consumer the PC consumer is going to drop out because lets face it us on PC want the creative freedom we have come to love from Planet Coaster 1

Exactly, this is what they should have done in the first place... At least give us all the parts we had in the base game of PC1 and than add new themes to it. Not take all the stuff away and sell them as DLC later.
If they go the DLC route, I think I will quit frontiers "planet" series... I am fine they add some substantial new stuff as DLC, but resell us stuff we already had and paid for - is a big "FU" to fans and costumers.

The entirety of Frontier has been built on PC gaming. And do you know something, I only play Planet Coaster and Planet Zoo. I don't play anything else. So this new game would be my 3rd install. Also played RCT3 and bought all versions of it, a little Elite Dangerous and even played Elite on my C64 in the 80's. I think that's quite good support by a single player for one single publisher.

And right now I feel like PC players are being pushed to the back.

But, with the scenery and theming.

It's been said and it's also quite obvious when you look at the given pieces, that you create your own spooky by mixing up the given sets and changing their colour. It's quite easy to see for example how you might get sci-fi or even steampunk from the resort and aquatic pieces. You can definitely get a spooky theme out of the Viking set. and so on. Silvaret is really good at this. Mixing themes to make new themes. So I think a lot of thought will go into DLC themes and making sure everything can crossover.
