This request could be fulfilled as simply as writing a "Scan" event entry when scan data is shared by a wingmate in-system exactly the same as the current "Scan" event. Optionally, you might like to include a new field, "Origin", to specify whether the scan data came from a Level 2 scan, a Level 3 scan, or a wingmate.
To be honest, I have a pretty specific scenario in mind where this might be useful, but it might be useful for enough people to consider adding it. The scenario I have in mind is a 2+ person wing of explorers, with one person having EDDiscovery open. First person into the system scans the star and estimates the habitable zone and determines which bodies to scan. Everyone shares the task of scanning and the leader keeps track of everything that's been scanned in EDDiscovery. We already have the same information available in-game, so it would make sense to make it available through the journal as well, precisely for the sake of keeping wing members synchronized.
A scan event on discovery scan would be nice too (with the name "Unexplored", the orbital parameters, and the origin field set to "Discovery"), as I think I'd like to practice my graphics coding by making an orrery-style system view that displays the system from afar, but I understand if that's already been considered and rejected for whatever reason.
