[Request] Option to disable cockpit shaking / head bob

Could we have this option, please? Maybe a slider from 0-100 % or something...

I usually have to have a break after 30-40 minutes of playing, because I get dizzy. And it's strenuous for my eyes.

I really would like to do longer sessions.

I don't get motion sickness, but it would be nice to have the option. The pilot's-eye view could stand to be improved generally, IMO: at present, "my" eyes in the game appear to be on six-inch stalks in front of my face, swiveling round a central point rather than turning and if I look round and down, I can see that I have no neck - just a smooth, hollowed out area of flight-suit. :p

This doesn't affect me, but I can absolutely see the need for it. Most games with shaking effects allow it to be disabled, after all. Good shout :)

Another unwanted effect of the head bob is that the throttle slider moves off-screen during high-G manoeuvres making it difficult to keep speed in the blue zone for maximum pitch rate.

A million times yes. It's stupid to have your UI unreadable in battle because your view point has been shifted forward and you can't see half the scanner.

I assume this is a massive pita for vr users as well.

I find it less troublesome in VR, as the tracking is so fast and accurate that I can just glance down if I need to. You can't really flick your eyes around as much, as the lenses in the headset make things a little weird in the peripheral vision anyway*. I haven't noticed any non-consensual headbob causing problems- but I shall look out for it, having read this thread. It's very noticeable in trackIR use though- especially with the z-axis bug that surfaced early in 1.2

*That's not really a massive problem, as human vision mostly registers shape, colour and motion in peripheral vision, not detail. However, when you're looking through two "windows" that limit you artificially, you get used to moving your head a bit more. It can make you look like a Terminator for a bit, when you emerge back into the real world :D

It's been a while since I played ED in vr so I couldn't remember, I do remember having my head detach from my body when I when in to hyperspace being quite disconcerting though :D It's a massive pain on a normal screen though :)

Yeah, it needs to be configurable, for the folks who find it hurl-inducing. It probably takes someone being aggravated by it to point out the obvious, though.

Had to have a break for a few days. I really hope there will be an option some day. Along with 1.3 Power Play... maybe? :)

It would be very nice to have this option. Accelerate too hard and you can't even see your target this way (unless you have a head tracker or something to look down)
