[Request] Polarised viewscreens - Stars blinding explorers!!

Heya!

So after exploring plenty of systems I have discovered how blinding some of those massive stars can be!!

Surely it makes sense for explorers to have awesome raybans for their viewscreens! :)

Any chance of adding in a feature such as this anytime soon??

The team sure did an awesome job on rendering these stars - yet playing on modern hdtvs the brilliant white's are quite literally blinding (as you would expect form looking directly at a star!!!)

doesn't help that to scan the star whilst fuel scooping we have to look directly at it!

Thanks and good job on developing this game! :)

Canopies already automatically darken when you're near a star...

But wouldn't you agree that it will be nice to have an upgrade module for canopy or pilots helmet visor that can darken the sun even more? This thing would be particularly great for explorers

Ideally I didn't want to adjust overly compensate through gamma correction; although I have lowered it slightly. I find that over compensating makes docking at outposts or being in asteroid belts on the darkside of a planet is very difficult to see; keeping the gamma at the original settings allowed me to still view those areas with out having issues. Thanks for the suggestion Andy.

Tim: I couldn't tell that the canopy darkened when close to a solar body. :/

I found plenty of other games that have view filters, nightvision, thermal etc...

I'm wondering if the dev's have considered a polarised filter - exploration and fuel scoopers sure could use not being blinded :)
