Request: Reactivation missions featuring THARGOIDS.

I would like to see reactivation missions that feature Thargoid Revenants and Banshees that have been left behind in recovering systems.

These would be based on standard reactivation missions and would play out something like this:

You reach the base to be reactivated and find that there are still banshees and resonance guarding the base.

Upon reactivation of the reactor you are given a mandatory second objective. You must retrieve the item from a container in the base surroundings. Once that is done, the mission is complete and you must leave the settlement.

This scenario, places new difficulty on the player in the he must land successfully, and then choose whether or not to avoid or destroy the enemy craft.

Unlike reactivation missions with scavengers, the threat once discovered is much greater and the secondary objective requires the player to choose either a direct confrontation, or more stealthy approach.


My hope is that most of this could be cribbed from existing mission code.
 
I thought these existed already, based on some comments here regarding trying to complete them.

I’ve been to thargoid systems that have banshees and revenants guarding deserted bases which cannot be restarted because you lack level three clearance to start the reactor

I have not found any reactivating missions in recovering systems that have them as part of the scenario.

If they are out there, point me in their direction.

I think what the OP actually meant is having some settlements in post-Thargoid recovery - if abandoned - still having a Banshee and/or Revenants present.

But why they would copy the AX reactivation in controlled territory instead of having it be a “Go power this site back up, and by the way, clear out those Thargoid drones/skimmers that got left behind in the process” type of thing… dunno.

(Or at least provide that as an optional objective for the less violently inclined, if they don’t feel like fighting.)
