REQUEST - Regular Alternative Livestream

To whom it may concern,

Frontier Developments' community livestreams, while a welcome and excellent service to the community, are somewhat lacking in one regard—players of Elite Dangerous outside of Europe find it difficult to participate. While we recognize that it is difficult to accommodate commanders from all time zones, we would like to request a less-frequent—perhaps monthly—livestream for players outside of Europe, perhaps at midnight British time, to allow NA and AUS players to participate. This would be greatly appreciated by those of us who love the game no less than our European neighbours, but are cursed by time zones and cannot participate in regular livestreams.

IIRC, the majority of their income is from the US if I recall correctly. So it would be nice to get a bit of love across the pond.

Due to the P2P nature of the game there could be an issue with anyone joining with Ed from the US. But maybe there is some dev magic they could do with AWS servers about that.

I just don't see the appeal of regularly watching hours of devs playing CQC and such where only a few persons can hope to participate and even then its just playing the game.

But I am no young-person streaming marketing guru. Maybe there's something to it. I guess it could be as relaxing as the average sitcom.

Posts with pure salt are more popular than posts offering solutions. Solutions usually dissolve salt I guess ;)

it would be interesting though to listen to more opinions on this subject
