Requesting advice from the graphics gurus

I recently saw a video about improving graphics quality by adjusting the graphics options in game. I have specific questions about items under "Quality" in the game's graphics menu, because after watching this video, it appears that I could improve my graphics quality, but I don't understand some of the settings.

What would you recommend for the following settings?:
  • texture filter quality? currently set to Ansiotropic X16
  • Antialising? currently set to SMAA
  • Supersampling? currently set to Quality
  • Upscaling? currently set to AMD FSR 1.0

Here are my specs:
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-14900KF 3.20 GHz
Installed RAM 64.0 GB (63.7 GB usable)
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
NVIDIA RTX4090, w/24GB

I currently run ED in 4K and things run very smoothly. Any advice on adjusting these settings is greatly appreciated.

Please also mention your target framerate in what situation, e.g. steady 60 FPS in space (easy), or 144 FPS on foot in an Odyssey base (rather difficult at 4K). If you're not sure, then a reasonable starting point is 60 FPS, with a reasonable maximum of the native refresh rate of your monitor. And a steady framerate will look better than a fluctuating one.

FSR usually makes things, especially text, look worse, so I recommend it be turned off. Performance will probably be reduced, though.
For Supersampling I don't remember a Quality option, maybe I didn't look past the numbers, but setting it above 1 will improve graphics (especially aliasing) while definitely reducing performance.

Thanks. I just use the default frame rate capped at 60. It never drops below that no matter what I do.

My RTX 3080 can run the game with the high graphics preset at 4k resolution at over 120 FPS in space and over 90 FPS on foot inside stations, without the need to use any sort of upscaling.

That makes me think that the RTX 4090 ought to be able to easily run it at any graphical settings you want.
