Requirements for shared bounty in a wing?

What are the requirements for shared bounty in a wing? Do you have to just hit the ship once along with your wing and when this is done is the split even or is it proportionate to damage dealt by wing members?

I believe it's split evenly between wing members if they contributed at least a little damage. I contributed only a little damage with some of the kills in my wing and received an equal share.
