RES or NAV?

RES absolutely and why all the hate for the dark side?? I *live* in dark side RES just keep eyes open seriously it's a skill multiplier. !

Iv been bounty hunting for some time now but only in a NAV area and i got thinking if the resource extraction are better in how fast the wanted enter as i see people going for them rather than a nav point

So which do you prefer nav or res?

RES, without a doubt.
But you need a bit of luck. Sometimes you get only small fry like Sidewinders, Vipers, Cobras and loads of Adders. When you are in luck you get Pythons, Federal Dropships and Clippers. Lately I very rarely see pirate Anaconda's in RES, but that might be just a coincidence.

You can just exit to main menu and reload - usually doesn't take more than 2-3 goes until the Condas show up again

so iv been in a RES site for about 40 mins now made a mill allready just see nothing but 20k+ all time non stop shooting im so loving it in a res just so much fun a content and it makes me feel fuzzy inside when i save a miner XD

I think I need to have a chat with the death race lads to get a route change going for their little lethal kessel run.
How about this: Race to the RES nav point from 50km out, but with bonus points for every time you fly through an asteroid miner's laser beam. That should make for some exciting footage. :)

Visibility in sunlit asteroid belts is spotty at best. It's literally zero on the night side. The headlights! They do nothing!
Now now, that's simply not true... they illuminate that last fraction of a second before impact beautifully!
:p

kinda off topic but related nonetheless.

do RES sites become depleted of pirates. as many know if the res doesnt have good (large) enemy ships in it u can leave and come back to reset it (or exit to main menu and reload in)

now yesterday i was getting conda after conda after conda folowed by many clippers/dropships and pythons.

now im getting one conda every 15 mins or so (possibly longer) and barley any of the aforementioned in between.

should i move on to another RES? Do they get blacklisted by the pirates? (I imagine them sitting around drinking warning each other of the crazy Master CMDR in the RES kiling them by the score)

I would advise against quitting to main menu in a RES. Kust wait for your anaconda spawns. If you reload you may reload in the centre of an astrroid...

I just started RES bounty hunting last week in my Cobra (I haven't been playing for very long). It's a total blast!! (he,he,he... pun intended) :) RES hunting is freakin' awesome! As others have said, sometimes you need to exit to main menu and come back a few times to get the big ships to spawn. I've made enough credits in the last few days to buy several class 'A' upgrades to make the Cobbie more of a fighter.

You'll find a ton of great into is this guide for RES hunting..........

When you are RES shopping, make sure the reserves are not low or depleted (checke system map). For example, Nagnatae A1 shows major reserves but I'm not sure if reserve resources are static or dynamic so YMMV.

Happy hunting!

Res. 100%.

Just need a little patience to find a good one at times, oh and some spatial awareness....curse you immovable asteroid.

PS do not go to the dark side (of the planet)

And yet there are few things more amusing than seeing your wingmate accidentally boost turn into an asteroid.

The one I farm at currently is one of 3 RES low reserves, low security and 26LS from the station. On a good spawn I have literally had a string of Anacondas and Pythons, making about 2 mil an hour. That is rare, but generally making a million an hour is a reasonable expectation.

Just remember to escape earlier than you would at a nav beacon because of the mass lock. Keep moving towards weapons fire, it may well be the big ship you've Been waiting for.

except maybe when ur flying wingtip to wingtip being stupid, and suddenly he disappears from beside u and u hear the muffled boom of a sidewinder tring to nudge an asteroid and failing as ur wing clips the same said asteroid and sends u spinning off into a second one all while rofling so hard at said wingmate ( and this is why we brought "winders") :p

I kinda prefer hunting on the dark side. Sometimes it's easier to find targets. You just have to learn to use your lights and prox alarms. Plus it's some of the most fun you will have flying.
