Rescue Carrier for Rackham's Peak / HIP 58832

Following a number of strandings of both carriers and CMDRs on the climb to Rackham's Peak in the last couple of months, the Fleet Carrier Owners Club will be stationing a carrier high up on the route providing as permanent a presence as we can, at least until the number of requests for help recedes. We'll use several carriers on a rota, and the specific system where the carrier is based may vary.

As usual we'll only respond to rescue enquiries that the Fuel Rats are unable to deal with, so please contact them first.

If you require our assistance then please head to our discord server and post in the #rescue-centre channel. o7

EDIT 19 March 2021. AS REQUESTS FOR HELP HAVE RECEDED, WE HAVE NOW REDEPLOYED THE SUPPORT CARRIER ELSEWHERE. HOWEVER RESCUES CAN STILL BE REQUESTED IN THE RESCUE CENTRE IN OUR SERVER:

Rescue Carrier service on Rackham's Peak has now ended

We had two carriers do 4 weeks each on the climb. For the first few weeks there were several requests for assistance. But now after two months there is no real demand so we are ending this service and the carriers will be redeployed elswhere. If Rackhams demand increases we may relocate there again.

If you are a carrier owner and need assistance see the Fleet Carrier Owners Club Discord and we'll try and help. If your a CMDR stuck in a ship then please contact Fuel Rats first. See our #rescue-centre channel.

Interesting thread bump ... Last night while looking at my bookmarks I noticed Rackham's Peak is one of them; haven't been able to visit yet but am wondering how busy the system is these days with FC's parked up... i.e. will I be able to enter the system with mine? Would be a bit of a pain to make the several jumps up there only to find out there's no parking spots.

I had to google what Rackham's Peak was (and disappointed it's not some mega mountain you can attempt to climb with SRV) so I was just gonna ask, is there even a point to going there? Not surprised demand dropped.

I'm told the demand for liquor is still high and 3k of Trit will get a medium weight carrier there and back.

gets stranded halfway to Magellenic clouds with 10,000 yrs worth of booze

it's a system called HIP 58832, 5300ly above the Bubble, the view of the galaxy is pretty epic and can only be reached by carrier. There is also a med-pad station there hence the name. If you want an epic SRV mountain then Pomeche 2c is the place i guess.
